Apa-Apa Aje

Di tulis oleh Encik Anif 21 January 2008

It is quite a long time that I haven’t write anything and posted to the blog. Busy with my work and no time to write. A lots of idea inside my head but no time to write. From global warming to child kidnapping issue. Huh! a lot haa..

Just to share my thought and view. My new year’s resolution are to allocate 30 minutes from a week to write something in the blog, to have at least broadband equivalent connection at home and lastly to become more efficient person. That’s not too much to ask. I think!

Nurin & Sharlinie
As a father of two (soon to be), I’m touch with this Nurin Jazelin and Sharlinie case. In fact my daughter’s name is Nurin. Both cases came to my attention. Almost similar situation, both children are unattended by adults. How could parents allowed children went outside without company?

Back in the 80’s, when we are small, our parents will ask for help from their children to go to the shop to buy something for them. From cigerettes to air batu or kelapa parut and with small amout of upah. Back then, the practice is considered suitable for those whose living the village or area where everyone is not a stranger. It’s kind of controlled environment. So I would say it is safe then.

This kind of practice is not relevant anymore now because nowadays we live in Taman area where there are a lot of people that we don’t know. It’s risky to send your children outside. If you want to buy something, go and buy it yourself or if they needed anything, please accompany them to get it. I’m not saying that you must keep your children in the house all the time. Please allocate some of your precious time to your children, accompany them to the playground, shops etc. Anyway that’s your child, your responsibility!

So morals of the story is please take care of your children and please make sure you always monitor them. Parents must be extra sensitive with current trends and surroundings.

Chua Soi Lek
A whole world knew about it. It’s him in that video. Err he admit it. What a brave move! He sets a Malaysia record as an old and powerful man. CSL your time is over! Well at least the suitable twisted phrase for him is "Behind a failure man is always a woman"

Sub Prime Crisis
Sub prime is another disaster in banking industry especially in US. Sub prime is another words for those whose with poor credit history or credit rating not good enough to secure a normal loan to buy property. But many banks in the US see it as a profitable market and tailored a loan to this kind of people and charged them with higher interest. Normally people who secured this kind of loan will sell their property at higher price to gain some profit. So many considered this practice is safe because they will settle their loans after they managed to sell the property.

The troubles begin when property/housing market in the US is slowing down. When the price became low, they can’t sell the property. When they can’t sell their property, they can’t settle the loan. The problem will return back to the bank that offered the loan at the first place. The banks knew their customer profile, but still they provide them with loans. I would consider this is an act of stupidity! So giving the loans to the property speculator will create a disaster.

Start from now, prepared yourself for the world economic slowdown or recession or kegawatan, the effect will be here eventually. Be prepared!
